The Walled Garden
About
A dark night, the walled garden of Strathan Tower in NW Scotland and a dark figure caught on camera, staring at the window in the south tower, just staring. Leigh Conlon knew what it meant. Someone was stirring things up, someone from his colourful past, someone with a grudge. Well, there were plenty of people to choose from, weren’t there? He had no shortage of enemies, no lack of victims. But the police were involved now and not just the police; there were others too. To make matters worse, Deitch, his one time partner, now tenant of the Tower, was crumbling. He had a conscience, you see, a fatal weakness in their line of work. It was time to act, time to make things safe, time for Leigh Conlon to show what he could do. And who would stop him? The Watersons – a dying old woman who owned the Tower before he swindled her out of it, and her daughter? Victims like Gill, Harmison or Barden? The police? No wonder Conlon laughed. No wonder at all. No-one was a match for Leigh Conlon, no-one.
So why was he worried?
